Online Casino Closes Gibraltar Office

A leading online casino, after only two weeks of its announcement that it has withdrawn from the US online casino market, has made yet another statement: the online casinos group will be closing its office in Gibraltar. It will also downsize operations at its Mauritius call center headquarters. At the end of last month, the company confirmed that all of its US based online casino player accounts will be transferred to another leading online gambling group, as it will refocus its strategic development towards Europe, Asia, and Canada.
With all of this smooth planning, there has been a snag in the overall reform for the online casino company. The online casino group has struggled to find a replacement to their current poker and online casino software providers. This has been true ever since the approval by the US Congress of the UIGEA, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
Because of the new anti-gambling law recently passed by the US, many online casino companies are finding that they have to close their doors to American online casino players. Due to this new complication in the online casino industry, many online gambling firms are finding that without the revenue generated by the US Internet gamblers, they simply cannot stay in business. How the remaining online casino groups will fare in this tumultuous time for the online gambling industry remains unknown.
